Customized corrosion test chambers
Corrosion is a chemical or electrochemical reaction between a material and its environment. This process causes the deterioration of the product and the loss of its initial characteristics.
Climatic chambers for corrosion testing can help predict the resistance of materials in order to estimate the life cycle of the components, compare different products and evaluate the behavior of a coating in a specific corrosive environment.
ACS is able to offer customized solutions thanks to its more than 60 years of experience in designing customized environmental simulation chambers, its technical know-how and the close attention given to the requests of all our customers.
The models of the standard line of ACS vibration test chambers are described in detail in the technical data sheet.
Example of a chamber customized according to customer requests.
- 11 prefabricated climatic chambers (109 m3)
- 1 prefabricated climatic chamber with infrared irradiation system (190 m3)
- 2 prefabricated chambers for corrosion tests (207 m3)
- 1 prefabricated thermostatic chamber (171 m3)
Tests:
- thermal cycles
- humidity and ice formation
- infrared radiation
- corrosion cycles
Purpose of the tests: to accelerate the corrosion processes on cars in operation.
The software for this type of chamber is an application that includes all the functions based on the specifications requested by the customer. The chamber has a built-in control panel for controlling and managing its functions. The chamber can also be controlled remotely using the WinKratos software or an equivalent application.
ACS can provide customized solutions that are adapted to the requests of every customer. Thanks to its accurate analysis of testing needs and highly specialized technical consultancy, ACS designs and manufactures environmental simulation chambers in the configuration most suitable for meeting the customer’s testing needs.
